I am a self-taught artist and I have been developing my abstract paper collage practice over the last five years. I used to labour mainly over words, as a translator with a specialisation in song lyrics. That work continues, but a life-long interest in the visual arts has gradually pressed me into their service as a maker, as well as an enthusiast.

The materiality and history of particular pieces of paper is what captures my interest and sparks a desire to explore the play between happenstance and selection, between unpredictability and intention.
